Another new north high school

Can anyone tell me why there isn't another north high school in the ten year plan. The Mallard Creek one is to open in 2007/2008. It is common knowledge that it will immediately be overcrowded when it opens. As Vance, Hopewell and especially North Meck. are already overcrowded. North Meck this year alone is 1300 students over what it was built for. Next year they say it could be 1900 students over what it was built for. That number alone would fill up the new high school at Mallard Creek. So, my question is why are they not slating another new north high school in the ten year plan? We are setting ourselves up for failure again and again. I would love for someone to tell the board what the projected number of high schoolers will be in the north in the next 10 years and exactly how they will be accomodated.

The kids in the north deserve to have schools that are not bursting at the seams. It creates alot of problems for them and administrators. It creates stress on the system and does not provide an optimal learning environment for anyone. We must address these issues. They won't go away. There is going to be egg on the face of Guy Chamberlain and crew when the new Mallard Creek High opens and is immediately overcrowded with not another school in the pipeline whatsoever. Get one the ball guys. Do Your JOB!!!

minorities or mainly blacks are the majority in cms with 61% as compared to only 39% white students whose parents taxes still pay for everything. the articles this website continues to post about the black caucas or black legislatures or african this or that still bitch and whine about everything still even though they have all new schools that are half empty. who cares about those articles anyway? they got everything and still are screwing up with low score plus dropping out at a 50% rate and causing most of the problems in schools.
everytime a new school opens in the north it is immediately inundated with majority black students because they get all the new schools while minority whites get the older schools and trailors.
isnt it wonderful to pay these high taxes and discover your kids will go to older neglected overcrowded schools while the freeloader majority get all the new schools?
hey, look at vance and the govenors village schools that are 90% black.
the new mallard creek will also be 90% black before its over too so why even build new schools if minority white kids dont go to them?
