I watched two speakers on the Internet this morning that I thought were Inspirational. They spoke as participants of a series called “Students & Leaders” which is being put on by C-Span and Time Warner Cable.

Some of the themes that sprouted throughout the discussions were:




Excellence
Community Involvement

Parents
Universities
Business, etc.

Leadership
Local focus
Accountability, etc.
You might consider taking a look at the below link when you have some free time. Not only were the speakers interesting but the questions from the students were interesting as well.

I think you are right on the money when you point out examples of success.
