Cannon School receives dual honors

CONCORD, N.C. – A local school has become the first independent school in the state to achieve dual accreditation.

Cannon School in Concord went through a thorough evaluation in which academic professionals visited classrooms, interviewed staff and evaluated student performance.

Now, the school has received accreditation from both the Southern Association of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Cannon School educates more than 800 children from junior kindergarten through 12th grade.
